Our Charity Partners
How we select our partners
As FCTG is a highly successful Australian company, we will always be focussed on giving at home in Australia. However with travel at our core, our donors also have heartfelt connections with countries around the world so we extend a helping hand to the global community where possible.
With the majority of our donations come from FCTG's people via Workplace Giving (matched by the company), they are the starting point when considering a new charity partnership. We survey opinion to identify areas of giving and potential organisations to support.
In shortlisting possible partners, due diligence is conducted and the final selection, by the Board of Directors, factors in survey results, organisation values, operational and financial performance and most importantly, community impact. Partners must have Deductible Gift Recipient (DGR) status with the Australian Taxation Office, are non-political and generally receive little or no government and/or large corporate support.
To maximise the impact of our giving in the community, at the outset of each financial year we work with our partners to determine their program priorities for the year ahead to see how we can support them. We review our budget projections to make a commitment to a specific program with each partner for the year ahead. This is our way of helping take some of the uncertainty out of our partner's cash flows.
