How our support works

Workplace Giving

Flight Centre Travel Group employees have the option of donating regularly to the Foundation via monthly pre-tax payroll deductions - our Workplace Giving Program. All operating costs of the Foundation are covered by FCTG, meaning all funds donated by our people are passed through to our charity partners and grant recipients.

The Flight Centre Foundation aims to bring our people on our giving journey through our Giving Grants Program and partner support. The collective impact of employee's generosity, matched dollar for dollar by FCTG, allows us to create generous funds to support our chosen projects for a direct impact approach.

With as little as $5 a week, or one takeaway coffee, our people have raised over $20 million dollars since the Foundation started ensuring that the communities where we work, live and travel benefit from the enormous generosity.

Emergency Appeals

In times of disaster, we have mobilised to provide support for:

- Queensland flood relief

- Bushfires around the country - Victoria, Tasmania, South Australia, New South Wales

- Drought relief

- Christchurch NZ earthquake

- Vanuatu cyclone

- Nepal earthquake

Whether at home or abroad, in cases of emergency when we are able, we give to established DGR (deductible gift recipient) registered Australian Aid charities or via our other Flight Centre Foundation cousins operating in our eight other countries with core retail operations.

Volunteering at FCTG

How we support the communities where we work, live and travel.

With 4,500+ employees around the country, the people of FCTG have an incredible range of skills that can be a huge help to charities and community organisations.  Each employee has one paid volunteer leave day per year to use at any for-purpose organisation or project they choose.

Volunteering can be done in a single day, or broken up over time to allow a regular commitment of skills or project work e.g. doing the accounts monthly for a local charity, working on a web development project for a start-up social enterprise.

Team volunteer activities are also regularly included at FCTG conferences, meetings and planning days across the country. Our people are welcome to participate in opportunities for virtual volunteering that feature innovative ways for teams to come together and give back.
