New year, new website!
Big news… our reimagined Flight Centre Foundation website is now live! You're already here so why not take some time to check it out and please feel free to share it across your social media platforms. It’s a great space f amazing the Foundation does, which is of course, entirely powered by the giving nature of our people
We’ve even made it easy for anyone visiting the site to make a one-time donation with our Shout for Good partnership.
The site will of course continue to evolve but for the moment, you can explore our Purpose Partners, Giving Grant winners and get to know all of the ways the Foundation works to make an impact on the communities where we live, work and travel.
Speaking of impact...
You may notice we’re taking steps to increase our digital footprint and inspire as many people as possible to do good in the world. Our goal is to build awareness and excitement around what the Foundation can achieve and build a community of people ready to inspire change.
We’ve got an updated website and the beginnings of a socially responsible LinkedIn page, but we need your support. While we don’t currently have an Instagram presence, we would love every Flightie or friend of the Founation to use some standard hashtags on their personal social media accounts when are you engaging with the Foundation, our charity partners and/or volunteering activities. These could include: #FCF #FlightCentreFoundation #FCFoundation #FCgivesback #FlightieLife #FCVolunteering #TheFCTGway
FOCUS: Giving Grants Winner:
Introducing - Zoe Support Australia!
Our annual Giving Grants program presents our people with a unique opportunity to learn about and drive our giving journey. Voted by our people, each of the five winning charities have received a $15,000 grant to bolster their work in creating employment pathways for vulnerable and disadvantaged community groups throughout Australia.
Located in Mildura, Australia, Zoe Support Australia focuses on helping young mothers (13-25) in the local area escape poverty cycles, ill health, destitution and distress by re-engaging them into education, employment and social programs. They run multiple social enterprises to fund their programs which include their Zoe Centres (hubs) and Little Sprouts Op Shops.
Zoe Support Australia hopes to use the grant to fund its programs and is looking forward to being able to continue supporting young mothers on their education and employment journey.
